High voltage probes North Star High Voltage PVM-1, PVM-2, VD-70, VD-100, etc.

There are many different requirements for high voltage measurement, and the North Star High Voltage probes of the PVM and VD series are designed for most of these requirements. PVM sensors are designed for wide bandwidth and easy carrying when various measurements need to be performed. The VD series probes are designed for use in higher voltage ranges and where physical stability is required.

The design of the probes is unique. The probe is delivered fully adjusted without the need for additional probe setup in the field. The internal parasitic capacities of the probe are calibrated at the factory. Parasitic capacitances due to the proximity effect are minimized due to the unique location of the conductors.

Resistors and capacitors with low temperature coefficient and voltage coefficient are used throughout the sensor to ensure maximum measurement accuracy. The probe has a durable nylon housing and is filled with dielectric oil for maximum stability at high voltages.

PVM series probes are available with calibration coefficients of 1000:1 or 2000:1 at the time of order.
