About North Star High Voltage
North Star High Voltage Company (USA) develops and manufactures high voltage sensors that determine the current level in high voltage measurements. The company also develops and manufactures support circuits for pipe closures, including thyratrons and ignitrons (thyratron drivers and ignitron drivers). North Star High Voltage produces two main types of high voltage probes - the PVM series, designed for portability and wide bandwidth, and the free VD series, designed for long service life and high accuracy. Both types of sensors can be used with input oscilloscopes with a resistance of 1 mOhm (standard) or with counters with different input resistance.

Special North Star High Voltage probes are designed with higher capacitance to minimize parasitic capacitive effects without the use of shielding toroids. -

Ignitrons, thyratrons and spark arresters of North Star High Voltage require unique high-power starting systems. All switches can be operated from 5 mA/5 V sources and/or fiber optic inputs.
